The JV team came back from a 20 - 0 deficit to tie Brewster in a steady rain yesterday. The Tuskers seemed to sleep through the first half, but woke up when a double reverse from EJ Greczylo to Adam Stern started the Tuskers moving in the second half.

Somers scored all their points on big plays. Dylan Haas scored on a sweep to start the scoring in the third quarter. Early in the fourth quarter Tom McGuire took a shotgun snap from Matt Corning and hit a streaking John Dolan for a 68 yards touchdown. As time wound down in the 4th quarter big tackles by Bryan Carson and Tim DiPaolo stopped Brewster drives. With less than a minute to go the Tusker defense held Brewster to no gains twice and took time outs to try for one more chance at scoring. On third down the defense caused a fumble and Matt Deiana scooped it up and ran 48 yards to bring Somers within two points. Matt then scored the two point conversion that tied the score.

Brewster ran the ensuing kickoff back to the Tuskers 19 before being stopped by Rob Lombardo and Joe Marasco.
