The Modified 7 team returned to their winnings ways with a second shutout at home. With several keys lineman unable to play all or parts of the game, several players came up big in news positions. On the offensive line Duncan Abeldour, Hunter Friary, Keith Wines and James Cascio all did great jobs helping the Tuskers score three touchdowns. Joe Oriti had a great game, filling in at center during an injury, snapping extra points and catching a pass for an extra points.

The defense again came up big for the Tuskers. Nose guard Justin Wymbs and tackles Max Hirsch,Sean Realbuto and Chris Miraglia contained the John Jay inside running game. Eric Dolan, Tyler Shaw and Brandon Gardineer contained the outside game, while the linebacking crew of Kevin Watson, Alex Carson, Matt Deiana, John Crowley and Mike Graziano made tackles all over the field. The strong secondary play of Greg Petre, Dean Lauzon, Erik Pfiffner, Vinny Mannini and Rich Scavelli shut down the passing game.

The quarterback crew of John Bello, Matt Lancia and Cole Partenza executed well. Matt Lancia scored a touchdown on a QB keeper and all three QBs had pass completions, including a screen to Jake Robatel in his first game back from injury. Max Hirsch's extra point attempt was short, after a great catch and hold by Billy Jordan, but the Tuskers hope to kick an extra point in the final game next Saturday at home versus Harrison.

Matt Deiana played another strong game with two touchdowns, on a long run and the second a six inch slant at the goal line. Matt also had a key takeaway that end John Jay's best scoring opportunity.
