Somers rallies from slow start to beat Port Chester 17-14

Somers came out sluggish in the first half vs the Rams allowing them to control the ground game and run up a 14-0 score at halftime. The second half was a different story as the Tuskers defense shut down the Rams ground attack and began mixing the offense with short passing routes to keep Port Chester off balance. This enabled the team to tie up the score 14-14 going into the 4th quarter. A late Somers interception deep in Rams territory allowed Dan Agostino to kick a 30+ yard field goal with 1:30 to go in the 4th quarter.
Somers continued to live up to their "cardiac kids" reputation this year, as Port Chester mounted a last minute offensive attack keeping everyone on the edge of their seat until the defense sealed the victory with an interception in Somers territory during the final 30 seconds .
